My conversation with Jude Browning and Catalina Barroso Luque live. Excerpted here. Please read the full transcript part 1 and part 2. I discuss new writing Solar Rejoinder and The Record, both still currently available. There is an in-depth treatment of what it means to write subjectivity while rejecting fixity, essentialism and atomization. I grapple with the legacy of feminist performance art. We discuss Sylvia Plath, Daisy Coleman, Karen Finley and the intersection between anti-carceral and anti-patriarchal thinking. I come out quietly in bio with ‘they’ pronouns.

Jude Browning and Catalina Barroso-Luque invited me to have a conversation about my work for their project She’s A Bit Much. It will be released in coming weeks, and for now, some featured works.

I read The Record a new, long piece of autofiction/theory in a live broadcast. Listen here. As this was live, there are two minutes at the beginning addressing a previous technological error: please forward to minute 1:51 to start. The Record is a narrative and materialist analysis of the “troubled teen industry” (and the exploitation of teenage girls by any means necessary). The Record is currently available for the right publisher. It part of Angst and Anomie, my current project.

FIGURE/S: drawing after Bellmer has opened at the Drawing Room, London, and is on exhibit til October 31. It is accompanied by an anthology of writing, of which my essay “The Houses are Murmuring” is one. Buy it here.
